It was so fun that my husband and I are planning to go on an all-inclusive vacation every year. The reason why we picked Nickelodeon resort is because I know my kids are going to have a blast seeing their favourite characters (my twins love ninja turtles but my daughter is just happy to see any characters).<\/p>\n<p>In this blog post, I am going to share with you every step of our journey from packing, going to the airport to coming home so you can see all the nitty gritty details of them all. Don&#8217;t worry, I won&#8217;t be giving you a 10 page essay to read (seriously who has time for it). I will break them down in categories and either in small paragraphs or in point form so it&#8217;s easy to read and you can pick and choose what you need to know.<\/p>\n<h1>Packing for the trip<\/h1>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I know a lot of you must be thinking taking 4 kids to a trip must be a pain. To be honest, after this vacation, I feel like our family can be pretty mobile and we are looking forward to taking them to more places. My kids are current, 6, 4, 4, and 1 so the older kids can definitely take care of their own luggage. The actual took care of their luggage the entire trip by themselves. And these Heys&#8217; ones are perfect size for their little body and also perfect as a carry on. We only checked 2 luggage between the 6 of us because of my skin care, diapers and such. Since we have 4 kids, I would like it to be as convenient as possible. My ideal choice would be someone to drop us off or pick us up but with 4 kids with car seats it&#8217;s nearly impossible. Therefore my husband decided to do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torontopearson.com\/en\/Daily_Park\/#\">Daily Parking at the Terminal<\/a>. We like this option the best is because we don&#8217;t like valeting our car, secondly we want to make sure the car is covered since we are leaving in the middle of winter. It all worked out very well from the beginning to end.<\/p>\n<p>Tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Call ahead to make reservation<\/li>\n<li>Ask them for a discount code (We got ours when we called so doesn&#8217;t hurt to try)<\/li>\n<li>Arrive at Toronto Pearson Airport at least 2 hours before your flight<\/li>\n<li>Quick Link:\u00a0https:\/\/www.torontopearson.com\/en\/Daily_Park\/#<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Arriving at the Punta Cana Airport<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>No air conditioning for the most part but pretty airy<\/li>\n<li>No need to line up for anything. The living room is complete with a pull-out sofa bed, 46-inch Smart TV and dining room area. Your Flat Suite also features a furnished private balcony, including a round daybed for lounging, napping or cuddling in the moonlight.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pros:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Love the extra tub in the bathroom. Perfect to shower off my kids.<\/li>\n<li>I love to be able to close the master bedroom so even if the kids wake up early and play, I can still sleep a little longer (Like 5 minutes lol)<\/li>\n<li>Crib is available upon request<\/li>\n<li>Love the size of the balcony (I worked out there and decorated to take pictures for my son&#8217;s 1st birthday<\/li>\n<li>There are golf cart shuttles everywhere so if your little one can&#8217;t walk so far, you can always wait for a shuttle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sofa bed for the kids is uncomfortable (but no complains from my kids)<\/li>\n<li>Some day they didn&#8217;t do their room service (cleaning of the room) fast enough. It says on the website you need to wear dresses and long pants, etc. I have been there wearing my tankini and they are totally fine. As long as you are somewhat covered, they will let you in<\/li>\n<li>The only restaurant opens for breakfast with hot food<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Verdict:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 out of 10 &#8211; It is not a bad buffet with tons of varieties, there are many items designed for the picky eaters. There are always fruits and grilled veggies at every meal which I enjoy<\/li>\n<li>We ate majority of our meals here because of the variety<\/li>\n<li>I don&#8217;t feel that the seafood is that fresh and tasty. Appetizers were coming extremely fast then our main course took at least 45 m<a href=\"http:\/\/glittermommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/IMG_3438.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1097 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/glittermommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/IMG_3438-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glittermommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/IMG_3438-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/glittermommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/IMG_3438-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/glittermommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/IMG_3438-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/glittermommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/IMG_3438-1332x999.jpg 1332w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>inutes and we had to remind them 3 times.<\/li>\n<li>The burgers weren&#8217;t out of this world (at least not in Dominican). The patties on the dry side because they overcooked them.<\/li>\n<li>I ordered a salad and it never came<\/li>\n<li>The only burger that actually tasted ok is my daughter&#8217;s steak and egg burger (see pic on right) because the meat wasn&#8217;t overcooked.<\/li>\n<li>Another item that&#8217;s worth trying is their cheesecake sundae. When we were there, there were absolutely no pens available. And it is one form per person so there&#8217;s no family form. They fill up fast<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t need to bring water, there are bottle water available everywhere<\/li>\n<li>Bring your own life jackets and floaties if your kids can&#8217;t swim, there were none available<\/li>\n<li>Strollers are available at the resort but you need to book it in advance (talk to your travel agent)<\/li>\n<li>Bring a baby carrier if you have little ones, we find it easier to navigate<\/li>\n<li>Bring USD for tips and purchasing products<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you talk to your personal concierge everyday before you start your day so you can get the latest and greatest<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you arrive at the Punta Cana airport 3 hours before your schedule plane.
